Dear Mr Bennett,

With reference to your recent request for information received on 8th January 2010 regarding the number of officers. I can advise as follows and the information you seek is attached.

We have defined "response" as officers working in the Neighbourhood Response Team (NRT), and we taken "non response administerial departments" to mean those working in organisational support as defined by the Home Office. The figures provided do not therefore include those allocated to specialist units or departments who may be operational officers.
