FREEDOM OF INFORMATION REQUEST
Thank you for your recent of 5th January 2010.
You have requested the following information under the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act 2000:
`Can you tell me how much road grit is being held in the event of more cold weather occurring in 2010?'
Our response is as follows:
Reading Borough Council's Winter Service contract ensures that our winter maintenance term contractor must comply with the following stockpile requirements:
1st October 2009 to 28th February 2010 (inclusive), a minimum stockpile of 600 tonnes
1st March 2010 to 31st March (inclusive), to have a minimum stockpile of 450 tonnes
1st April 2010 to have a minimum of 180 tonnes stockpiled.
