Thank you for your request for information under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 about posts filled at the Department of Health by temporary staff, consultants or secondees as a result of an inability to fill a vacancy by means of internal recruitment.  Your request was received on 22 April and it has been passed to me for reply.

 

I can confirm that the Department does not hold the information you have requested.  The Department does not separately identify instances where temporary staff are employed because a post cannot be filled by internal recruitment and those where it is a conscious business decision to make use of temporary staff.
