FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000 (the Act)
REQUEST APPLICATION NUMBER: 810
In your email received 4 January 2010, you requested the following information regarding allotments from January 2010:
The number of allotment sites in North Devon for which North Devon District
Council has access to waiting list data?
2) The total number of plots on the sites given in 1 above?
3) The total number of people on waiting lists for these sites?
4) Are any of these waiting lists closed to further applications?
5) How many new council allotment sites were brought into use in
2009? You request the:
a) number of new sites
b) names of new sites
c) total area of new land in hectares
d) total number of new plots
Section 1(1)(a) of the Act requires the Council to inform you whether it holds information of the description specified in your request. I confirm that the Council does hold the information you request. In discharge of its obligation under section 1(1)(b), the Council can provide you with the following:
The Council has 1 allotment site for which it has access to waiting list data.
The total number of plots on the site given in question 1 is 27.
The total number of people on the waiting list as given in question 1 is 24.
The waiting list as given in question 1 is not closed to further applications.
One new Council allotment site was brought into use in 2009 and the details for this site are as follows:
a) number of new site(s) 1
b) name(s) of new site(s) Babbages
c) total area of new land in hectares 0.3 hectare
d) total number of new plots 31
Please note: Babbages site was brought into use by the Council however, the site and the waiting list are managed by Fremington Parish Council.
