Data has been extracted from two different source systems.  Prior to April 2008, the Met Custody system (Anite) was used in the MPS.  The MPS 
switched over to NSPIS Custody in April 2008.  Data from the two systems has been merged together for 2008.

NSPIS is a live system which gets updated on a daily basis.  Data from NSPIS was retrieved on 20/01/2010.

It was not possible to break down into the different ranks of the MSC as this is not recorded at record level data in either system.
