Dear Ms Fell
Re: Your request for information
Thank you for your email above. As the information you requested is not personal or environmental it has been processed in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
Initially, I would like to take this opportunity to apologise for the delay in responding to your request. This is due to our attempt to determine whether the information you sought was indeed held by our authority.
I have investigated your request and the answers to your questions are as follows.
Q1. Total actual number of children within your local area as of March 31, 2009.
A1. In accordance with section 1 of this act this information cannot be provided as it is not held by this authority. We can confirm though that there are approximately 40,000 school age children within the Nottingham City Council area.
Q2. Of that total number of children, how many of that total had a CPR3 category B Child Protection Plan on March 31, 2009.
A2. I can confirm that the term “CPR3 category B Child Protection Plan” is not in use by Nottingham City Council and therefore in accordance with section 1 of this act this information cannot be provided as it is not held by this authority. We can; however, confirm that there were 375 children given a Child Protection Plan between 11 November 2008 and 31st October 2009.
