Dear Mr Jackson,
Re: FOI request: 24 hour off licenses in L.B. of Camden (ref: 5509041)
Firstly, may I apologise for the unreasonable delay in responding to your
initial enquiry (9th September 2009), this was an unfortunate
administrative oversight.
Attached is a list of the premises that have an alcohol licence for 24
hours for at least one day of the week within the L.B. Camden.
I trust this information is sufficient, for future reference you can
search our licensing register [1]www.camden.gov.uk/licensingregister for
further information and licensed premises.
Kind regards

Dear Kathryn Redfern,
Thank you for your reply. Please can you confirm that there are
currently only two 24 hour off licences in the London Borough of
Camden? According to the statistics that you submitted to the
Department of Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS), there are seven
premises licences to sell alcohol 24 hours a day for consumption
off premises (two large supermarkets and five smaller convenience
stores). Did you forget to send me the complete list of 24 hour off
licences in Camden?
Yours sincerely,
Oliver Jackson

Dear Oliver,
I can confirm that the data you have been provided with is correct. We
recently undertook extensive data cleansing of our records, removing
obsolete records and I can confirm that there are only two 24 off-licences
in Camden and both of these are held by Sainsbury's.
There are a few other premises within Camden that have a 24 hour alcohol
licence, including 3 nightclubs/bars and one hotel.
Kind regards,
