Subject: RE: Freedom of Request ref. 86730
As to the second part of the request, assuming they mean reports not necessarily generated from the work conducted by the procured investigations, we only keep reports going back to April 06 and to go through all of the reports extracting those that related to LDL and redacting any personal info, etc would take us over the time limit in FOI Act as calculated as follows:
50 reports p.a approx x 3.5 years = 175 reports
20 mins to scan each report for LDL references / connections = 3500 mins
Assume 30% relate to LDL (based on % of council services split between LCC and LDL) - so 53 reports to check for DPA compliance and possible redactions inc advice from Legal Services taking 90 mins per report - i.e. 4770 mins
Would take us in total 138 hours - i.e. over the limit set in FOI Act. Even if my calculations were claimed to be excessive this only covers audit reports and not any other reports written by other parties for the Council.
