Dear Mr McLaughlin

Thank you for your email dated 19 December 2009.

Your Enquiry

You have asked why on our Money Made Clear website under 'savings
account choices' why you can not view all taxable and tax free
accounts. I appreciate you state other websites do provide this
facility and you would like to know our reasons for not providing
the same on website.

Our Response

Thank you for taking the time to write to us.

I am sorry to hear that you dissatisfied with our FSA Comparative
Tables function on our consumer website.

Under the savings account choices question 5 has the " show all"
functions so that you can see what accounts are available to Adults
and Children and young people. We do not show all accounts that are
taxable and tax free because you can only see one version of the
table (tax free or taxable) at a time, because you can't directly
compare the two sets of information.

We have taken your feedback on board and forwarded this onto the
relevant department that are responsible for our Money Made Clear
website.

I hope this is helpful.

Yours sincerely
