FREEDOM OF INFORMATION REQUEST

Thank you for your e-mail of 17 December, in which you ask for information in relation to the Blackburn Identity Card enrolment centre. Your request has been handled as a request for information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

Could you please inform me within IPS exactly how many new jobs have been created in Blackburn as a result of enabling people to enrol for ID cards within the City? For instance those staff performing the enrolment process. I'd like to know the FTE equivalent of theses posts please.

I am able to disclose the following information.

The Identity and Passport Service (IPS) intends to use its current resources to run the identity card enrolment facilities in Blackburn.
