Please provide the following information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

  1. What evidence is there that schools' equal opportunity policies are effective in combating racism?

We have no recorded or reported incidents of racism in the school. The school has a set of aims and values.

  1. What are schools in your area doing to promote racial equality and promote community cohesion? Examples of measures deemed to be good practice and recognised as being successful would be useful.

All our practices and policies are inclusive and we make no discriminations (either positive or negative) towards pupils, staff or any members of the community regarding race, religion, culture, ability, disability, gender, age, sexual orientation etc. We have a policy that covers equality and another that covers Spirituality, Moral, Social and Cultural issues.

  1. Can you provide me with any evidence that the measures listed above have been effective (if this has not already been done)?

We have no recorded or reported incidents of discrimination of any sort from pupils, parents, staff, potential staff, community members or any other stakeholders.

  1. Are further measures required to either maintain trust in the teaching profession or protect children and young people?

No. The school follows all guidance on equality and discrimination and we have a personalized learning agenda that treats everyone as an individual.
