Annex A
Dear Mr Butcher,
FOI Review request 732 (Request for a review of FOI request 538)
Thank you for your e-mail of 21 March 2010 relating to the above FOI request. We have
treated your follow-up e-mail as a request for a review of our initial reply.
DWP policy is that someone unconnected with the initial response must consider the review
request afresh. I have been asked to carry out that review.
You asked for the actual number of Independent Case Examiner (ICE) staff or external
independent contractors who have previously been or are currently employed by the
CSA/CMEC.
Whilst ICE does not routinely collect hold this information, I asked for an exercise to be
completed to gather the information for you.
I can confirm that forty ICE staff (including contractors) were previously employed by
CSA/CMEC, but no staff (including contractors) are currently working for CSA/CMEC.
If you have any queries about this letter please contact me quoting the reference number
above.
Yours sincerely,
DWP Central FoI Team
