Thank you for your email which was received by the University on 7 December 2009 timed 
15:22 hours, requesting the following information: 
 
 
What parts of the Student Lifecycle System have been implemented? 
      
If nothing has been implemented please could you tell me what you have been doing since 
the signing of the contract with the supplier?

What parts of the Student Lifecycle System have been implemented? 
 
No parts of the system have been implemented.   
 
Go live dates are spread over multiple waves/phases, the first of which is planned for Autumn 
2010.  
 
If nothing has been implemented please could you tell me what you have been doing 
since the signing of the contract with the supplier? 
 
Activities that are being undertaken are:  
 
Planning, implementation team training and conference room pilot 1 (CRP1).

CRP is an iterative approach to design, development and implementation undertaken in 4 
stages to ensure robust design and testing of the solution. 
  
CRP1 activities include a detailed walkthrough of processes, system prototyping using 
delivered test data and identification of gaps with proposed resolution prior to system build.  
 
The supply of documents under the terms of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 
does not give the applicant or whoever receives the information any right to re-use it in such a 
way that might infringe the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 (for example, by making 
multiple copies, publishing or otherwise distributing the information to other individuals and the 
public). The Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (Consequential Modifications) Order 
2004 ensured that Section 50 of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 (“CDPA”) 
applies to the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (“FOISA”).   
 
Breach of copyright law is an actionable offence and the University expressly reserves its 
rights and remedies available to it pursuant to the CDPA and common law. Further information
