Thank you for your Freedom of Information request. You asked NHS Enfield

Regarding the care received by people who qualify for Continuing Health Care you requested “a list naming all the Care Homes and other facilities where they are receiving their

care”

Answer:

Eligibility for Continuing Healthcare funding is determined by level of need and is not related to the location of care.  Care is currently delivered in people's own homes, Nursing Homes and some Residential Homes as per the attached list.

Your second query concerned “the Care facilities run by the Enfield PCT itself at Chase Farm hospital. Other care homes have inspections carried out by the Care Quality Commission. Are such inspections carried out on the units at Chase Farm ie Silver Birches, The Oaks and Cornwall Villas? If they are” You also asked that we “provide … copies of the most recent inspections for these three facilities”.

Answer:

Hospital provision such as that run by the Barnet Enfield and Haringey Mental Health Trust at Chase Farm does not generally come under the remit of Continuing Healthcare.  NHS Enfield does not currently fund any Continuing Healthcare placements at Silver Birches, the Oaks or Cornwall Villa, nor does it run those facilities.  I am therefore unable to help with your request for Inspection Reports.

If you are not satisfied with the PCT's response to your request you may ask the PCT to review the response. If you wish to do this please write to the PALs and Complaints Department, Holbrook House, Cockfosters Road, Barnet, Herts EN4 0DR enclosing a copy of your original request and explaining your complaint.
