Thank you for your request for information that was received on 8 January 2010, in relation to FOI request 4697. You have requested the following data:
I have seen the same ground anchors advertised online for a considerably cheaper price that what Westminster City Council has paid. Are Metric parking offering any value added service that would warrant spending more on a product that is available cheaper elsewhere?
In view of your request, I can advise you of the following:
Metric parking is the sole UK distributor for that particular type of ground anchor. The City Council's decision to use this type of ground anchors was based on a previous trial in which a number of these anchors were installed without any issues.
