Dear Mr Robbins
Thank you for your email dated 30 November, which requested, under the Freedom of Information Act, information relating to the current progress of the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).
You asked:
1) My understanding is that the CNHC file regular progress reports to the DoH covering budget and members subscribed. I would like to see any of these post May 2009.
Please find attached five progress reports from June to October inclusive, which have been sent to the Department of Health by the CNHC.
Names of officials below Senior Civil Service (SCS ) level have been redacted under section 40(2) of the Act, which provides for the protection of personal information which would not otherwise be available in the public domain.
2) My understanding from todays Science and Technology Select
Committe Evidence Check is that the DoH are aware of negotiations
or communications between the CNHC and the Society of Homeopaths
regarding the latter joining the former. I would like to request
any documents relating to this negotiation/communication held by
the DoH.
While the Department is aware of negotiations which have taken place, we do not hold any documents relating to discussions or communications taken place between those two organisations. You may wish to contact the CNHC directly for this information:
