Dear Mr. Carney

Thank you for your Freedom of Information request. You asked NHS Enfield

1. For details on all applications for NHS Continuing Care Funding that were supported by multi-disciplinary Team Decision Support Tool Recommendations.

Answer: All applications to NHS Enfield Continuing Healthcare  are supported by Multi-disciplinary Teams' Decision Support Tools.  Since Oct 09 cases will not be accepted unless an MDT recommendation is clearly recorded.

2. You asked for details of Appeals if the original application was not successful.

Answer: During the period 06 Oct 09 to 15 Dec 09 Panels have heard 47 cases.  A decision review (an 'appeal') has been requested on one case, and an interim placement agreed whilst that matter is resolved.

3. You asked for details on all complaints and ongoing legal actions in relation to PCT applications for funding to Panels.

Answer: There are no complaints or ongoing legal actions in relation to NHS Enfield Continuing Healthcare operations at present.

4. You asked for detail on Panel remuneration arrangements and legal insurance policies paid for by the public purse.

Answer : There are no remuneration arrangements or legal insurance policies in respect of Panel business at present.

If you are not satisfied with the PCT's response to your request you may ask the PCT to review the response. If you wish to do this please write to the PALs and Complaints Department, Holbrook House, Cockfosters Road, Barnet, Herts EN4 0DR enclosing a copy of your original request and explaining your complaint.
