I write in connection with your request for information, which was received by the Norfolk 
Constabulary on the 23rd of November 2009.  I note you seek access to the following information: 
 
1.  How many arrests have been made as a result of racially aggravated offences in each of the 
last five years (2004 to 2009)? 
2.  What were the reasons for these arrests and how many arrests were made for each 
offence? 
3.  How many of these arrests resulted in convictions in court? 
 
Your request will now be considered in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act (2000).  
You will receive a response within the statutory timescale of 20 working days, as defined by the Act, 
subject to the information not being exempt or containing a reference to a third party.

the public with a right to request access to recorded information held by the Constabulary.  If any of 
the information you have requested is not contained in a recorded format, the Constabulary is not 
obliged to create information for the purpose of responding to your request.  
 
We aim to respond to your request by the 22nd of December 2009. In some circumstances the 
Norfolk Constabulary may be unable to achieve this deadline.  If this is likely, you will be informed 
and given a revised timescale at the earliest opportunity.
