Dear MR TODD
FREEDOM OF INFORMATION REQUEST - REFERENCE NO: 002390/09
I write in connection with your request for information which was received by Derbyshire Constabulary on 23/11/2009. I note you seek access to the following information:
According to a press release from earlier in the year:
http://www.derbyshire.police.uk/news/1362.html
"Derbyshire Constabulary has launched its interactive crime mapping
website [u]sing a simple, user-friendly interface and
highly-detailed Ordnance Survey maps..."
Although this system appears to have been shut down in favour of a
national system launched last month:
http://www.derbyshire.police.uk/local/203.html
I have reason to believe that a contract was signed and delivered
for the Derbyshire Constabulary's version.
Please may I be sent:
* the names and dates of engagement of the contractors/consultants
who developed and maintained the Derbyshire Constabulary crime
mapper from its start till its completion
* the costs incurred by the contractors related to building and
maintaining the site.
* copies of the contracts and agreements signed with these
contractors-- including any termination clauses which may have been
invoked following the launch of the national crime map.
Your request will now be considered in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the Act). You will receive a response within the statutory timescale of 20 working days as defined by the Act, subject to the information not being exempt or containing a reference to a third party. In some circumstances Derbyshire Constabulary may be unable to achieve this deadline. If this is likely you will be informed and given a revised timescale at the earliest opportunity.
There may be a fee payable for the retrieval, collation and provision of the information you request. If this is the case you will be informed and the 20 working day timescale will be suspended until we receive payment from you. If you choose not to make payment then your request will remain unanswered.
Some requests may also require either full or partial transference to another public authority in order to answer your query in the fullest possible way. Again, you will be informed if this is the case.
Should you have any further enquiries concerning this matter, please write or contact Stuart Barlow, Freedom of Information Manager, on telephone number 0345 123 3333 quoting the reference number above.
Yours sincerely
Stuart Barlow
