Freedom of Information request – RFI20091585
Thank you for your request to the BBC of 19 November 2009, seeking the following information
under the Freedom of Information Act 2000:
1. A complete list of any and all revenue streams which terminate at the offices of the
British Broadcasting Corporation, and the total revenues received over the last
calendar year.
2. Revenues from the levy of fines for non-payment of the TV Licence.
For the purposes of this FOI request we have interpreted
• “Revenue streams” to be the income types specified in the BBC accounting systems.
• “The last calendar year to be” the periods 01 January 2009 to 30 November 2009.

In answer to question 2:
In accordance with section 1(1) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I can confirm that we do
not hold the information you have requested. Any fine issued by a court is payable to, and collected
by, said court: the money does not go to either the BBC or TV Licensing. Her Majesty’s Court
Service is the body with official responsibility for collecting information on such fines. Official figures
are thus published by the Home Office.
