Thank you for your e-mail dated 12/11/09 in which you asked which part of your request dated 11/11/09 needed to be clarified.

You previously requested the following information from the Ministry of Justice (MoJ):

I refer specifically to the Schedule of Offences listed in Schedule 1.1 onwards, of the Children And Young Person's Act 1993, and the Sexual Offences Act 2003 Chapter 42 Schedule 1 onwards. Requested on 11/11/09

Please supply:

1. a complete list of those individuals who currently hold Public Office in the UK, who are currently listed on the Schedule 1 Register.

2. a complete list of those individuals who currently hold Public Office in the UK, who are currently under investigation for Schedule 1 offences. Requested on 09/11/09

Your request has been handled under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA).

From our assessment, it is clear that we will not be able to answer your request without further clarification. Under section 1(3) of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), a public authority need not comply with a request unless any further information is reasonably required to locate the information, is supplied.

I am currently unclear as to the exact scope of the information in which you are interested. In order to help us ensure that we provide you with the right information, I would be grateful if you could clarify your request, particularly with regard to which individuals you are referring to. For example, do you mean civil servants employed by the Ministry of Justice?
