Dear Mr Smith,
FREEDOM OF INFORMATION REQUEST 8379/2009
I write in connection with your request for information received by Kent Police on 6th November
2009.
I am very conscious that this response finds you some time after the statutory time limit
permitted to a public authority for dealing with requests has passed and for the lateness of this
response I apologise. I am now able to respond as follows:
I would like details concerning the number and nature of County Court Judgements made
against Kent Police.
In looking into this matter I have consulted the Kent Police Finance Department, Kent Police
Legal Services Department, and the Kent Police Authority who are charged with overseeing the
actions of Kent Police. I have also carried out a search of the Kent Police Document tracking
system on which correspondence received by Kent Police is recorded, and as far as we can
reasonably ascertain there have been no County Court Judgements registered against Kent
Police or the Chief Constable of Kent Police, and therefore this information is not held.
Thank you for your interest in Kent Police. If you have any further queries concerning your
request, or the application of the Freedom of Information Act in general, please contact this
office quoting the reference number shown above.
Yours sincerely,
Laura Birchley
