Request for information

In your email of 5 November, you asked for a copy of the authorization for the Chairman of the CLAE to change the Code of Conduct for Commission Members `without a scheme of delegation'. This is a repeated request under section 14(2) of the Freedom of Information Act. Your request 17431 `CLAE Register' (our ref: CS/09/089) asked the same question, and I responded to it on 9 October. In that letter I referred you to the document `Management Arrangements' on the Governance page of our website http://www.lgo.org.uk/about-us/governance/ . This document includes a section on the role of the Chairman, which includes the duty to take `Chair's action' at 3.2(c). This document was last substantially amended and approved by the Commission at its meeting on 15 April 2004.

That concludes my response. If you feel I have not dealt properly with your request, you have the right to appeal and, should you wish to do so, I can supply a copy our internal complaints procedure. If you do request an internal review - can you please indicate why you are unhappy with my response. You also have the right to apply to the Information Commissioner to determine whether your request has been properly dealt with.
