Thank you for your emails of 14th October 2009 in which you request information about Flexible New Deal (FND) contracts within the Southport area.

In these requests you specifically ask for:

The Department has recently completed the first phase of the Flexible New Deal competition and the successful bidders have been announced, along with the contract package areas they will cover.

The Southport area (which falls under Merseyside), was not part of this round of the competition. Therefore, no Flexible New Deal contracts have been awarded or lost within this area.

It is worth noting that the Department is now offering organisations the opportunity to compete for the delivery of Phase 2 of Flexible New Deal in a number of contract package areas, of which Merseyside is one.
