FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT REQUEST
Further to your Freedom of Information requests, I am writing to confirm that the Council has now completed its search for the information which you requested on 13th October 2009.
The Council only holds records dating back to 2003, the answers detailed below relate from this date to current day.
The requested information is as follows:
1) The number of people with criminal convictions employed by Swale Borough Council
5 with spent or unspent convictions
2) The top ten job areas where people with criminal convictions are employed.
Of these 5, 4 are employed within the Cultural Services and Economic Development and 1 within IT & Customer Services.
3) The top ten types of conviction employees have.
These are motoring offences and assault.
4) The number of disclosures requested from the CRB.
The number of disclosures requested for 2008 and 2009 is 144.
5) The number of enhanced disclosures requested from the CRB.
All CRB's that are obtained by Swale Borough Council are enhanced disclosures.
6) A list of positions / job titles (or summary of areas of work) where a CRB check was
requested.
