Dear Foi Officer,
when and will the CLAE be appointing an assistant - as if they were
not an information based organisation they would not have these
problems.
The OFT have just identified that the CLAE is responsible for all
the misleading advertisements on Council Websites.. like 'we have a
complaints system that follows these processess', and we must 'meet
foi requests within 20 working days'.. this maladministration seems
to be causing significant problems.. and who can argue with the OFT
?
It might be worth pointing out to the CLAE that this could very
soon be identified to them.. and that there are about 400
council's.. so there could be dramatic growth in records management
activities.
Yours sincerely,
Stuart Hardwicke CARRUTHERS

Dear Mr Carruthers
Our ref: CS/09/029
This is to acknowledge receipt of your request for a review and to inform you that the material relating to the first two Commission meetings held in 2009 is now on our website. The material relating to the January meeting was added in April and the material relating to the March meeting was added yesterday. There has been one more meeting held so far this year, and the material relating to that meeting will be added in due course, probably early in August.
Before we respond to your request for a review, could you please tell me what aspect(s) of my response you are unhappy with so that we can respond to those specific issues.
Thank you.

Dear Foi Officer,
many thanks... you can cease the internal review with respect to
this issue. it is noted from the minutes that a 2008 triennial
review document is available
it is normal practice to publish agenda's prior to the minutes..
quite possibly something to consider ? and that might easily become
subject to FoI requests.
I have just done an analysis.. and it turns out that about 80 per
cent of the FoI requests that I have made all relate to minutes and
agenda items..
I would anticipate that their publication has reduced the FoI
requests.
I can't see any good reason why some of the contents (agenda items)
are regarded as confidential.
Yours sincerely,
Stuart Hardwicke CARRUTHERS
