Dear Mr Walker,
Re: Freedom of Information Request Thank you for your recent request regarding teachers who are members of political parties.
I can confirm the following:
1. In respect of schools there has been no such case referred to the Local Authority.
2. We have not had any complaints from parents regarding party membership of any
school employees.
3. There is no specific HR policy issued by the Council to schools on this issue but
advice and guidance would be provided in the event that any such matter was
raised.
