I refer to your Freedom of Information request of 7^th October and your subsequent request for an internal review of the handling of your request, made on the 20^th November 2009.

Having now conducted a review, we recognise that although the initial response to your request, made on 29^th October 2009 was within the legal deadline for response. It did not contain the correct information, and after your clarification mail sent to us on the same day, we should have acted much sooner in providing you with an appropriate response. Please accept our apologies for the delay in responding to your request.

Having conducted a thorough search and spoken to all relevant staff involved, we can advise that we do not hold any information in response to your request. No member of staff involved with home education has any knowledge of this further call for evidence and no information is held on the matter.
