Re: Freedom of Information Request
Thank you for your recent request regarding the review of elective home education and the plan to introduce legislation to register, monitor and support home educated children. I can confirm the following:
It has not been formally discussed by the committees of elected councillors.
It has been formally discussed by the responsible officers
The committees responsible for education have not taken part in the consultation on the proposed legislation.
The unelected LA officers have taken part in the consultation on the proposed legislation.
This is not applicable as the officers have taken part.
Most of the information that is provided in response to Freedom of Information Act 2000 requests will be subject to copyright protection. In most cases the copyright will be owned by The London Borough of Hounslow.
