Dear Mr Muller
Freedom of Information (FOI) Act 2000: Request for information
Thank you for your request for information, relating to FOI/4469/AR. You have requested the following information:
1) “What are the main reasons that justify Verrus for having been chosen to supply and run the pay by phone system in Westminster?”
2) “Was the decision taken purely on a cost estimate, quality of service, or anything else?”
3) “Who took the decision to favour Verrus?”
In response to your request I can advise you of the following information.
1), 2) These answers were previously supplied in FOI4210 as follows:
The contract was awarded to Verrus following a full tender process in accordance with EU procurement regulations. The tenders were scored against the following evaluation criteria:
Quality of the proposals
Quality of pertinent experience
Quality of terms and conditions
Price
The contract was awarded on the basis of the most economically advantageous proposal, regarding price and quality. Price was not the main consideration in the award of contract.
3) The decision to award the contract to Verrus was made by the Cabinet Member for Economic Development and Transport.
