“Comebacks” are where the complainant has questioned the outcome of their complaint.
“Decision reason changed” means the decision remained the same - ie the complaint was not upheld - but for a different reason than first stated.
“Investigation relaunched: new information” means the complaint was re-investigated because new information was provided by the complainant. Whether the ultimate outcome was different is not recorded.
“Investigation relaunched: error” means the complaint was re-investigated because the Ombudsman's office made a procedural error. Whether the ultimate outcome was different is not recorded.
