31st October 2008

Dear Mr Richards,

Thank you for your e-mail of 2nd October 2008 in which you ask for funding for the Action against Business Crime Group or any of its subsidiary agencies or companies by the Home Office to be broken down by project/cost code. You also asked what were the periodic performance targets mentioned in the reply of 25 September 2008 to your e-mail of 20 August 2008 on this topic.

I am pleased to be able to disclose the information that you requested to you.

The Home Office grant funding for AABC, which was broken down by annual payments in our reply of 25 September 2008, was provided in two project contracts. The first covered the period to March 2006, and the second for the period April 2006 - March 2007.

The periodic performance targets mentioned in the previous reply refer to milestones set out in the project plan. These included recruiting staff, setting up an advisory group, and identifying locations for new partnerships as well as the achievement of new business crime partnerships - 50 by March 2005, another 50 by March 2006 and a further 20 by March 2007

If you are dissatisfied with this response you may request an independent internal review of our handling of your request by submitting your complaint within two months to the below address quoting reference 10458.
