Thank you for your dated 18^th December 2009 regarding the response to your recent request to the Council (our ref: 4428).

In your you asked for an internal review of the handling of your Request. I have summarised the details of your appeal below:

I am sorry that you are dissatisfied with our handling of your requests and I have investigated your complaints under Stage 1 of the Council's Corporate Complaints Procedure. Response

Your original request was received by the Council on the 28^th September 2009, and the completion due date was the 26^th October 2009. You wrote to the Council on the 18^th December 2009 to request an internal review because you had not received a response to your request.

I can inform you that the response to your request is being prepared in consultation with our Legal Services. This does not, however, mitigate the delays you have experienced, which are unacceptable, and for which I apologise. Your complaint is, therefore, upheld.

I note that you have not, to date, received a response to your original request and it is anticipated that the Council will provide you with a response by Friday 12^th February 2010.

This completes the internal review into the handling of your Request under the Council's complaints procedure. Should you be dissatisfied with our response, you are entitled to contact the Information Commissioner under Section 50 of the Freedom of Information Act.
