Dear Mr Andrews,

I am writing to you about your request for information dated 16 November 2009 and outlined below.

Any information that the NIO has on the issue of Equal Pay for junior members of the NIO. That is information on agendas, minutes of meetings, memos, correspondence in regards this issue.

Your request will be dealt with under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 as you are now seeking recorded information making this request substantially different to your earlier one. Your previous request was only for the `date' the decision was taken `to exclude NIO staff from the `Equal Pay' issue' and the NIO have previously informed you that this could not be considered under FOI legislation as it was not a request for recorded information.

We will endeavour to respond to your request within the timescales stipulated by the Freedom of Information Act and no later than 14 December 2009.

In some circumstances a fee may be payable and if that is the case you will be notified in due course.
