The Council has completed its search relating to your request for information about the cost of child protection between January 2003 and September 2003, which we received on 14 September 2009.

Under Freedom of Information, please supply me with accounts for expenditure on Child Protection to Legal aid solicitors, from Jan 2003 to September 2003?

Three separate sums of £1,867.08, £1,600.06 and £2,220.00 were paid to 3 firms of external solicitors during the period January 2003-September 2003 for the work described in the request (making a combined total of £5,687.14)

How many children, were in the system under Emergency Care orders for the above date.?

How many Mother and child placements for the above dates?
Answer 2 & 3
The records indicate that only one emergency application was issued in the period January 2003-September 2003 and the child in question was not in a mother and baby placement

Mother and Child Foster care provision, in Cumbria, for the above dates? No. of such foster placements available?
