Dear Sir/Madam,

Freedom of Information (FOI) Act 2000: Request for information

Thank you for your request for information, relating to FOI/4351/DW. You have requested the following information:

In your response to FOI number 4231, titled “delay in making a decision re-motorcycle parking” you advised on 21st August 2009 that “the formal report has yet to be released; this will happen in the next few days”. Today is 10th September 2009 and no report has yet been issued. Your website states the following: “we are currently working to finalise the Cabinet Member report which we expect to be completed and published in August 2009”.

We are now in September 2009, and no report has yet been issued. Can you please advise the date when you expect the report to be published and a decision regarding motorcycle parking to be made? And also I think it would look a little bit more professional if you could update your web site accordingly.

In response to your request I can advise you of the following:

As stated to you previously the City Council is committed to considering all the objections received regarding the motorcycle report. The City Council is scrutinizing all objections individually and was hoping to have the details finalized in August as suggested; however, this is taking longer than expected.

Although the web site does state that it was expected to be completed and published in August 2009, it also states that timeline may be subject to change. We anticipate publishing the report in early October, and a decision by the Cabinet Member will follow.

If you are not satisfied with this response please set out your reasons in writing and send to:
