Qualifications
Essential: GCSE Grades A-C or GCE `O' level passes or equivalent including English Language.
Desirable: `A' level passes or equivalent. GCSE Grades A-C or GCE `O' level pass or equivalent in Maths. Secretarial training.
Experience
Essential: Secretarial experience. Two year's experience of word processing. Experience of Microsoft Office suite of software, or similar.
Desirable: Experience as a PA to one or more Managers. (Experience with PowerPoint and Excel. Experience of working with other software packages. Experience of dealing with telephone and written enquiries. Experience of the use of email and the internet.
Knowledge
Essential: Senior secretarial tasks
Desirable: Some knowledge of local government organisation and practices
