Dear S. Bainbridge
FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT - REQUEST FOR INFORMATION
Your request for information on Barnard Castle Vision, received on 9 SEP 2009, has been considered. Please accept my apologies for the delay in our response.
You requested: How much in funding has Durham County Council contributed to the group "Barnard Castle Vision" thus far and how much in funding does Durham County Council project to give Barnard Castle Vision in the financial year 2009-2010, and 2010-2011?
Our response: See the attached documents, which contain the funding set up for the project. The amount for the coming years is as follows: The contribution from DCC for 09/10 is £100,000 and a further £100,000 for 10/11 for Barnard Castle Vision core funding. Please note that from time to time the Council may participate in funding specific projects that the Vision sponsors.
You requested Could you publish any and all documents and correspondence relating to Durham County Council's role in the setting up of, and implementation of, Barnard Castle Vision?
Our response: The attached documents contain the reports about the setting up of the Barnard Castle Vision and who was involved.
You requested As the authority now responsible for processing Freedom of Information requests concerning the former authority, could you publish any and all documents and correspondence relating to Teesdale District Council's role in the setting up of, and implementation of, Barnard Castle Vision?
Our response: The attached documents contain reports which set out Teesdale District Council's role in setting up the Barnard Castle Vision.
Your request for all documents and correspondence relating to Teesdale District Council's role in setting up of and implementation of Barnard Castle Vision, is wide ranging and difficult to limit. As the project has been ongoing for several years in a variety of phases and through a variety of departments as well as external contractors, we would request that you focus your request. For example, is there a particular topic or a range of dates that you want to focus on? By narrowing your request, such as correspondence by the Chief Executive, it would help us to narrow our search to a manageable level.
You requested Finally, could you publish any and all documentation relating to the Glass Box Information Point situated on Galgate, including planning applications, decisions made, and any correspondence pertaining to the above?
Our response: The planning application and the correspondence about the Glass Box Information Point are in the attached document.
