Dear Mr Cannon,

Freedom of Information Act 2000: Request for information

Thank you for your request for information that was logged on 3 September 2009 relating to FOI 4321. You have requested the following information:

|~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~|

|Year|Free|Chargeable|Carshare|Electric|

|~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| |2009|

|2010| |2011| |2012| |2013| |2014|

Where the total year on year differs, could you please provide the strategic plan, estate change or decision that has lead to that difference?

Could you please identify the amount of spaces for both car and motorcycle that would leave Westminster City Council's responsibility (per year), either by lease or sale of estate and could you identify where those losses would be? As an example, Chiltern Street will be going to Overix 3 Limited, how many car and

motorcycle spaces will be lost to WCC?

03/09/09 Table amended to:

|~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~|

|Year|Free|Chargeable|Carshare|Electric|

|~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~|

|2009|

|2010|

|2011|

|2012|

|2013|

|2014|

In response to your request, I can advise you of the following:

It is not possible to predict, or forecast, the number of motorcycle bays that will increase, or decrease, for the years you have specified. This information is, therefore, not held for the purpose of Sections 1 (4) the FOI Act 2000.

As advised in a recent Cabinet Member report (1 October 2009) there is a commitment by the Cabinet Member to increase the off-street provision including the proviso that should take up of the off-street space deem it necessary further work would be undertaken to identify additional space on-street.

With regards to the Council Car Parks, Westminster City Council has a duty to continue to review the use of its assets, however, there are no plans at present to transfer the ownership of other car parks to private hands.

If you are not satisfied with this response please set out your reasons in writing and send to:
