Thank you for your email request for information, which we received on Tuesday 12 August 2008. You asked for, the number of job vacancies that were externally advertised by department, broken down between April 07 to April 08 and between the 1 April 2008 to 30 June 2008. We have dealt with your request under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act. The reference number for your request is FoI/08/00930.

The Scottish Housing Regulator came into operation on 1 April 2008. Prior to this, the Regulation and Inspection division of Communities Scotland was responsible for the work now carried out by the Scottish Housing Regulator. The Regulation and Inspection division of Communities Scotland did not advertise any job vacancies externally between 1 April 2007 and 30 April 2008.

The Scottish Housing Regulator has externally advertised one post between the 1 April and 30 June 2008. This was a secondment opportunity to cover a maternity cover post in its Support and Intervention Branch.
