Dear Mr Hare
Re: Request for Internal Review - Request 4307
Thank you for your s dated 29th September 2009 regarding the response to your recent request to the Council (our ref: 4307).
In your s you asked for an internal review of the handling of your Request. I have summarised the details of your appeal below:
That you had not received a response to your request within 20 working days
I am sorry that you are dissatisfied with our handling of your requests and I have investigated your complaints under Stage 1 of the Council's Corporate Complaints Procedure. Further details of our procedure can be found on our website: http://www.westminster.gov.uk/services/councilgovernmentanddemocracy/councils/contactsconsultationandfeedback/complaints-and-compliments/complaints/
Response
You contacted the Council on 28th August with a request for information regarding the Verrus pay by phone contract. You wrote to the Council again on 29th September asking for an internal review as you had not yet received a response to your request. The Council provided a response to your request on 6th October 2009.
Having reviewed the correspondence regarding the handling of your request, the response was sent outside the 20 working days required by the legislation. This is unacceptable and we apologise for the delay. The department should have informed you of the delay. However, I note that a response to your request was sent on 6th October 2009 and therefore your complaint that the information has not been provided is partially upheld.
This completes the internal review into the handling of your Request under the Council's complaints procedure. Should you be dissatisfied with our response, you are entitled to contact the Information Commissioner under Section 50 of the Freedom of Information Act. For your reference, I have provided his contact details below:
