Thank you for your request for information that was logged on 28 August 2009 relating to FOI/4299, You have requested the following information:

Dear Mr. Creed,

  1. Please supply me with a list of all motorcycle parking bays being sure to include the following information:

  1. In the case motorcycle parking that is on street level:

  1. In addition can you include information on what the total cost to me of using your parking system would be if I were to need to park my motorcycle for 2 hours? Please highlight the cost of any optional features. In the case that you feel there are multiple interpretations of a question I have asked, please supply answers to all possible interpretations of the question.

In response to your request I can advise you of the following:

  1. On the Westminster website or via the link below at the foot of the page, you will find a list of all the car parks with motorcycle bays and also the number of bays per car park. There is a map available on the website, which shows where the entire on street motorcycle bays are within Westminster with a list of the streets.

Therefore the information you have requested is contained within the Publication Scheme which can be found on the City of Westminster website via the link below.

This information is exempt from the Freedom of Information Act under Section 21 as it is accessible by other means, e.g. the City Councils website. As such, this letter constitutes a refusal notice under Section 17 of the Freedom of Information Act.

  1. With regards to on street parking the information you have requested is contained within the Publication Scheme which can be found on the City of Westminster website via the link below.

This information is exempt from the Freedom of Information Act under Section 21 as it is accessible by other means, e.g. the City Councils website. As such, this letter constitutes a refusal notice under Section 17 of the Freedom of Information Act.

  1. The cost to park a motorcycle off street is free, and the cost to park a motorcycle on street is £1.00, which allows you to park for 24 hours, which would equate to approximately 4 pence per hour.

If you wanted a reminder text messages sent to you this would cost a further 10 pence, also confirmation of payment text messages also costs 10 pence.
