under the DDA between 28/02/09 and 31/07/09? 
 
This information will be held by each individual Operational Command Unit.  Please 
note that researching each individual Operational Command Unit would exceed the 
appropriate limit (FOIA, s.12 (1)). 
 
The cost of compliance with your request is above the amount to which we are 
legally required to respond, i.e. the cost of confirming or denying that the 
information is held would exceed the appropriate costs limit under section 12 of 
the Freedom of information Act 2000. For West Midlands Police, the appropriate 
limit is set at £450, as prescribed by the Freedom of Information and Data Protection 
(Appropriate Limit and Fees) Regulations 2004, S.I. 3244. In accordance with the 
Freedom of Information Act 2000, this letter acts as a refusal notice for this part of 
your request. 
 
6) Does your force have a policy regarding leaving dogs at home prior to 
hearings under 4b of the Dangerous dogs act? If so please supply a copy of 
the policy.

7) How many dogs have been left at home under any leave at home policy 
between 28/02/09 and 31/07/09?
