FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000 (the Act)
REQUEST APPLICATION NUMBER: 706
In your email received 13 August 2009 you requested the following information for the last 10 years:
The number of working days lost each year for the past due to stress, anxiety and depression.
The number of employees that have retired on the grounds of ill-health.
Separately state dismissals in this as well where ill-health was brought up as a factor.
Section 1(1)(a) of the Act requires the Council to inform you whether it holds information of the description specified in your request. I can confirm that the Council does hold the information set out in 1 and 2 above. In discharge of its obligation under section 1(1)(b), the Council can provide you with the following information for the last 10 years:
2,818.5 working days have been lost due to stress, anxiety and depression over the last 10 years.
19 employees have retired on the grounds of ill-health.
I refer to my acknowledgement letter of the 13 August regarding question 3. I am yet to receive clarification of exactly what information you are requesting. This question will therefore remain on hold until this is received, in writing from you. Once this has been received, question 3 will then be dealt with in accordance with the Act and the date for the final response will be determined.
