Dear Mr Grade,

Re: Request for information.

I write in response to your request for information under the Freedom of Information Act, 2000 (FOIA.

You have specifically requested the following:

"Please can you inform me of your intentions for managing the provision of digital TV in preparation for analogue switch-off for the residents of your council-run properties. I would like to know what process is being used to establish the needs of residents, costs to residents and services to be provided."

The Council does not hold this information however, we recognise that the digital switch over programme is an important issue for all our customers, including residents in council run housing. In addition to ensuring that residents in council run properties are consulted and informed, there are other considerations in respect of social care, planning and environmental health. The council will shortly recommend the appointment of a lead officer to oversee the programme for the organisation, and this role will be specifically directed to ensure that all residents, including those in council run housing, are consulted where appropriate and kept informed.

I trust that this satisfies your request sufficiently, however, if you require further information, please do not hesitate to contact me. Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, you have the right to complain about the Council's response to your request for information.

If you have such a complaint, you may contact the:

Corporate Information Officer

Room 2

Waltham Forest Town Hall

E17 4JF

Tel- 020 84964334

within 28 days of the date of this letter for a review of the Council's decision. If you remain unsatisfied with the outcome of that complaint, you may seek further recourse by lodging an appeal with the Information Commissioner.

Yours Sincerely,

Shirley Orjih
