FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000 - INFORMATION REQUEST
I am writing regarding your request for information which I received on 15th January 2009. In that request you asked us for:-
The number of parking tickets issued so far during 2008/09, in your council area, broken down by street name.
For each street please can you provide a breakdown of the value of each ticket, e.g. the monetary value of the penalty imposed on the driver.
How many of these tickets received discount through early payment? How many were opposed? And how many remain outstanding?
The information in points 1, 2, and 3, for years 2007/08, 2006/07, 2005/06, 2004/05, 2003/04.
I can confirm that the Council holds information falling within the description specified in your request. However gathering this information would have to be undertaken manually as our computer reporting system can not create the information in the format you have requested.
We estimate that the cost of complying with your request would exceed the appropriate limit of £450 as stated in the Freedom of Information (Fees and Appropriate Limit) Regulations 2004. It is estimated that it would cost at least £925 to comply with your request.
Under section 12 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 the Council is not obliged to comply with your request and we will not be processing your request further. This letter acts as a Refusal Notice.
What we can offer is a total figure for tickets issued in the Borough during the years specified. Please contact me if you would like this information.
