Further to our letter of 4 August 2008 I am now in a position to respond to your request for 
information on foreign ports visited by HMS Glasgow during 1983-1985. 
 
I can confirm that we do hold information on foreign ports visited over this time and this is 
listed at Annex A. However, although the data for 1984 and 1985 is taken from the ships 
log, unfortunately for 1983 the ships log is no longer held and the information provided 
from the Naval Historical Branch may be only partially complete. 
 
If you are unhappy with this response or you wish to complain about any aspect of the 
handling of your request, then you should contact me in the first instance.  If informal 
resolution is not possible and you are still dissatisfied then you may apply for an 
independent internal review by contacting the Director of Information Exploitation, 6th Floor,
