Dear Mr White,

Freedom of Information Act 2000 - Information Request

Your request for information has now been considered and I am not obliged to supply the information you have requested.

In accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 2000 this letter acts as a Refusal Notice.

The exemption applied is Section 21.

The exemption applies because the information is accessible to the public by other means.

The information is available in the Planning Register and this can be accessed by visiting these offices or by letter (when requests for information or copies of documents and plans contained in the files can be dealt with). Further information is broadly (file papers and plans cannot be viewed) available on the Council's web site (www.breckland.gov.uk). Access to the data is obtained through the planning portlets.

I did, however, check to see if we had had any applications from Starbucks and confirm that the Council has had no applications from that firm.

If you have any queries or concerns about the handling of your enquiry then please contact the Freedom of Information Officer at Breckland Council, Elizabeth House, Walpole Loke, Dereham, Norfolk, NR19 1EE telephone 01362 656395, e-mail sue.allen @breckland.gov.uk.

Further information is also available from the Information Commissioner at: Information Commissioner's Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF, telephone 01625 545700; www.informationcommissioner.gov.uk.

Yours sincerely

Val Baker
