I have considered your appeal against the Refusal Notice in relation to provision of information in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

My decision is that your appeal is unsuccessful. The information you have requested is accessible as follows: -

Using the application search facility you can search for all change of use applications. There is a list of search codes headed “finding application types”. The relevant code for you to use is: -

B20/ applications part 2007 onwards (this includes all changes of use)

67/ applications prior to the above (this is change of use to shop)

In 2007 we adopted a much simpler application referencing system so we now only identify a change of use rather than the type. By reading the description it is possible to work out what the change of use was.

You can also search by street name. For example Specsavers is searchable on “Dalton Road”.

The statement “Only plans and notices on applications submitted or decided since 2006 will be available to view online” refers to the actual pdf's showing drawings and notices. Details of applications go back much further, some to 1992.
