Thank you for your email of 29 July to the Department of Health requesting, under the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act, details about funding applications to the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) for dementia research over the last five years and those which were successful.  Your request has been passed to me for reply.

 

It should be noted that the NIHR has been established since 1 April 2006 . The data given here therefore also covers NHS Research & Development programmes in operation before that date.  Please find the data you request
